Doug Ramsey will join the company as Chief Operating Officer after serving three decades at Tyson Foods.
Bernie Adcock will handle the newly created role of Chief Supply Chain Officer after completing a 31 years stint at Tyson Foods, handling operations and supply chain management. He will report to Ramsey, as per the press release.
“The pair will be instrumental in growing Beyond Meat’s operations, supply chain, and manufacturing, and driving efficiencies to unlock cost-savings as the Company pursues its long-term goal of price parity with animal protein,” said the company in a statement.

On Tuesday, Beyond Meat’s stock activity rose 123.33%, combined with an increase of 5.44% in the trading volume. The stock also saw a rise of 5.81% in the per-share price. It closed the market at $71.25 apiece.
Today, the shares of Beyond Meat opened at $71.97 apiece.
The hiring of the two comes when the company is doing lots of experiments and rapid innovations, with more than a dozen new products launched in just the last two years.

Before joining Beyond Meat, Ramsay worked at Tyson. He started his journey with Tyson in 1992, gradually holding several top leadership positions, including Group President of Poultry, President Global McDonald’s Business and Retail Poultry Operations.

Adcock worked for 31 years at Tyson Foods. He was most recently the Chief Supply Chain Officer at the company, responsible for scaling the company’s poultry business through cross-functional strategic management and the integration of technology throughout the supply chain.

Beyond Meat has made several efforts in 2021 to expand the accessibility to its plant-based meat products globally. In this year, the company joined hands with some of the world’s top quick-serve restaurants (QSR), including McDonald’s and Yum! Brands. Besides, it entered into a joint venture with PepsiCo to develop, produce, and market innovative plant-based protein made snack and beverage products. The appointment of the two ex-Tyson Foods Bosses is the latest in the list.
